Marie Duquesnois

Marie Duquesnois studied the piano in her native city at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon with Hervé Billaut. Always passionate about vocal music, chamber music and the experience of exchange and encounters between musicians, actors and dancers she decided to complete her training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris in piano accompaniment with Anne Le Bozec and Emmanuel Olivier.

Having received her certificates for piano performance and piano accompaniment Marie taught as vocal coach for four years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris. Since 2016 she has been the official accompanist for Fabien Wallerand’s tuba and euphonium class at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève. In parallel with her teaching she likes to diversify her artistic experience by taking part in chamber music as well as an orchestral musician (Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne…). She collaborates regularly with Opera de Dijon as vocal coach and also in concerts with the chorus.

When she arrived in France in 1991 she studied at the Conservatoire national de région de Tours, where she studied with Olivier Nizier. In his company, she discovered the art of piano accompaniment which would become the centre of her musical existence. She continued her studies in Paris and then at the Conservatoire de musique de Genève with Ursula Rüttimann where she won the accompanists’prize.

Since 2003, Naoko Perrouault is one of the professional accompanists at the Haute École de musique de Genève and since September 2009 teaches at the Hochschule für Musik de Freiburg.
